Hemostatic Dressing Bandage Wound Care. A sterile, woven, pH neutral soluable hemostatic dressing that is derived from cellulose and is easy to apply. Upon contact with blood, it quickly transforms into a clear viscous gel, which fills wound voids, seals capillary ends, activates the clotting system and thereby helps to stop bleeding.

After package is opened, the product should be kept as dry possible. Hemostatic effect will be affected if the product is moistened.

The product should not be moistened by water or saline before use.

Gloves and devices should be kept dry before use.

The blood vessel should be ligated if there is pulsing vessel at hemorrhage site.

The product should be avoided to be flushed or immersed by water during hemostasis, and operation can continue after effective hemostasis. When applied to mucosal surfaces in ENT or gynecologic surgeries, the pressure at the filling site should not be too great, because it may cause swelling, ischemia or necrosis of local tissues.

When applied to mucosal surfaces after ENT surgeries, measures should be adopted to prevent product enter into respiratory tract.

When applied in cavities or tracts, the product should be removed as possible once hemostasis is achieved.

Patients with hypertensive conditions should use the product with caution, and patients with allergy to the product can not use the product. It is a disposable product, and can not be reused.

Tailor according to the wound area.

Apply slight direct pressure until hemorrhage is stopped.

When applied to deep wound on wounds in nasal cavity, sinus or vagina, the product can be rolled before filled to the hemorrhage site or it can be used to pack the hemorrhage site directly to obtain better hemostatic effect.

If the amount of hemorrhage is large, multiple layers can be applied to press the wound to stop bleeding.

Remove saturate gauze with sterile water or saline solution and then gently wipe any excess Gauze material away from the wound.

Dental instruction. After tooth extraction, clean the socket with copious sterile water.

Insert one or more pieces of Gauze Pad to the socket place with dry forceps.

Place slightly moistened regular gauze sponge over the socket and instruct the patient to bite with gentle pressure.

Rinse away with sterile water or saline solution once the bleeding has stopped for 24 hours.

Repeat the steps above with another piece as needed.

If allergy occurs, contact a Doctor or go to Emergency Room -Do not use to treat a dry socket.
