Areza Antibacterial Alginate with Silver is made from natural alginate fibers and silver. It is designed to be highly absorbent. The dressing, while absorbing wound drainage (exudates), forms a gel-like covering over the wound, which provides an ideal moist environment. Most wound healing is known to epxpedite wound healing. The gel-like surface also prevents the dressing from adhering to the wound, making removal painless.

Areza Antibacterial Alginate with Silver can restrain bacterial growth and help reduce further bacterial infection. The dressing has been tested in vitro and found to be an effective broad-spectrum antibacterial dressing, working against both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, such as Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, Streptococcus pyogenes, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Klebsiella pneumoniae.
